Thought: Great Injustices (crimes committed against a giant group of people) are usually done to poor people. Not so, in my history - Jews have this odd history of establishing a middle/upper-middle class identity as a group, and THEN getting wiped out.
As my Jewish Studies prof used to warn us: Jewish history shows over and over that periods of intense assimilation are always followed by periods of intense aggression against Jews. So what does that say for us?
